Our First Anniversary event was another grand evening for our members and their guests, past presenters, and sponsors.
Three pitches from three women-led businesses. $10,000 making a difference in the dreams of the winning company.
For those of you who weren’t able to be there, check out our Facebook page – we have videos from the evening;
And the winner for the night was:
Jessica Wruck, Owner and Head Riding Instructor at Wruck Riding Centre
RR#5, Site 504, Box 31
Saskatoon, SK S7K 3J8
This is a family-based business, located south of Saskatoon, with a vision to provide a fun, friendly place for people to connect, re-connect and ride horses. We love to share our passion and love of horses with others. The main services offered are western riding lessons, horse boarding, clinics for adults, and summer camps for kids.
With this contribution, some plans are to: add another riding instructor, hiring an administrative/financial assistant, developing corporate team building and training and even larger, a second facility or riding academy, develop some marketing tools (a logo, a sign, and some clothing with logo and company name on for clients to buy) and develop some infrastructure to make facility able to handle cattle such as fencing and water bowls (use of the facility for cattle events in is high demand).
Thank you to the other two companies that pitched.

Meraki + Light Photograph – We are a photography company built on a dream to create from our unique strengths. Two and a half years ago, we started vulnerably sharing our stories, inviting potential clients into our lives and in return, they began to do the same with us. Since then we have started mentoring other female creative business women and found a deep sense of joy in giving away all that we’ve been given. We desire non-competitive collaboration with other women and have had success in doing so. Our vision and plan involve a space for women to come to be refreshed, dream big and rise to their full potential in all areas of womanhood.
